SAT

Dear all,
Welcome to the International School of Latvia’s SAT testing center webpage.

All students looking to take the SAT, should carefully review the information here in order to prepare themselves for SAT test day, and understand the expectations of the testing center.

Please review the site carefully, as well as all information from the College Board regarding enhanced health measures related to COVID-19. Students who do not adhere to the posted community health guidelines may be denied entry to the facility on test day. All test takers are responsible for knowing the information on this site as well as any additional information issued by the College Board.

In order to be admitted to the testing center, all students must complete and sign a travel history questionnaire. Any student who has traveled to a country with a high incidence of COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days who have not completed a period of self-isolation will not be admitted to the testing center. Upon completion of the travel history questionnaire, students’ temperatures will be checked. Any student with a fever at or exceeding 37.5 degrees Celsius will be denied entrance to the testing center.

Students may provide their own face covering, or otherwise will be issued a mask upon admission to the testing center. This requirement is mandated by the College Board; any students failing to adhere to this safety precaution will be asked to leave the testing center. Face coverings must be worn at all times.

Upper Respiratory Symptoms: Symptoms suggestive of COVID-19(dry cough, shortness of breath, fever, sore throat, fatigue, stuffy nose, headache, muscle aches, new loss of taste or smell) will follow these guidelines:

If a student is showing any of these symptoms on test day, they may be denied entry to the testing facility.

If a student is being disruptive to the testing environment due to excessive coughing or sneezing, they may be asked to leave the testing center

In addition, please note that while ISL is an SAT testing center, we cannot register you for the test, confirm your registration, or process payment of any kind. All of this should be done through the College Board directly. Dates and deadlines for registration, as well as types of testing available at respective administrations, can be found here. ISL may not be open for all sittings of the SAT; you can confirm whether the center is open for a given date through the College Board website.

Information regarding arrival time and what to expect on test day can be found at this link. This includes information related to what identification students should bring with them as well as what items are allowed and not allowed in the testing center. Please do review the expectations regarding calculators closely; students who are found to be using an inappropriate calculator may have the calculator confiscated and can potentially run the risk of being dismissed from the testing center.

ISL does not provide test preparation for the SAT, and as such, does not endorse a single test preparation organization. Official support can be obtained from the College Board directly, or their official partner, Khan Academy.

We hope that the above information has been helpful. Should you have any questions regarding security or health protocols, please feel free to contact us directly. Again, please note that we are not able to register students for the test, confirm registrations, or process payments of any kind; all of this must be done through contacting the College Board directly.
